Decision Design Announces iPhone App Development Initiative
Bannockburn, IL - 5/28/2009 - Decision Design Corporation, a leading custom software development firm, today announced the formation of an iPhone development initiative with its initial objective to produce iPhone apps for public sale and enterprise distribution.
As part of this new initiative, Decision Design has created an iPhone Application Division, which centralizes the development resources in Apple Objective C and its corresponding use on the iPhone and iPod Touch platform.
''This is a rapidly expanding market that suits our core competencies of innovation and rapid time to market'', says Monty Davis, President of Decision Design. ''We believe that iPhone apps allow us to serve our corporate clients in new ways, bringing mobile metrics, system controls, and client self service to a whole new level''.
The new division, led by Vice President of Development, Ed Mitchener, will be located in the Decision Design office in Pleasanton CA. Says Mr. Mitchener, ''we have all the tools and experience to bring apps on this new topology to our clients. Our development team is excited to jump into this new technology''.
Initially the new division will build prototype apps that will demonstrate the many system features of the OS. Prototype apps have been built or are in development that allow geographical search, camera/photo uploads, system metrics, video streaming, and incident management.
As these apps are completed, they will be made available to the public through the iTunes App Store for use by anyone. Eventually the division will be responsible for integrating the core iPhone functions into apps that are commissioned by its clients, thereby extending Decision Design's client application capabilities in the new area.
